Why Am I Here?

During my undergraduate studies, I took a course on the philosophy of technology, which had a rich syllabus covering a wide range of authors and themes. I was curious about the subject, but I didn’t know much about it at the time, because most of my studies were focused on classical philosophy.

As I engaged with the course, I noticed a vast amount of literature on the political aspects of technology, but far fewer texts approached it from epistemological or ontological perspectives. However, I began to explore the field further, and over time, I discovered that my main interest lies in the ontology of digital objects—how they exist, how we relate to them, and how they shape our understanding of reality.

I am a Colombian woman philosopher… if you’re asking, and I am here trying to think out loud. I write in both English and Spanish, depending on the mood, the topic, or the audience. This space is just one of the ways I try to make sense of the digital world around me.
